Surface finishing is the production processes that alter the product surface to achieve the desired performance of the designer. Our customers usually choose the surface finishing process for the following reasons:

PAINTING

Painting is one of the most commonly used surface treatment process in Prototype manufacturing. Due to the limitation of material, manufacturing process and cost, in the manufacture of low volume products or prototype, we often cannot directly use the raw material with the desired color of the customer. So we will use the spray paint technology to meet the customer's expectation and luster, we also use this technology to cover up some minor flaws in the prototypes or provide texture to products.
Professional spray painting equipment, accurate color matching technology and experienced painting technicians, these are why our painting on prototype stand out from the crowd. We use only high-quality paints and coatings, our skilled technicians can paint on almost any material with any colors in matte, flat, semi-gloss or glossy finishes in our climate-controlled, professional spray room, even create custom painted textures.

SANDING AND POLISHING

Sanding is the process of smoothing or polishing a surface with sandpaper or a mechanical sander, it is one polishing process too.
Polishing is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface by rubbing it or using a chemical action, the process of polishing with abrasives starts with coarse ones and graduates to fine ones.
Polishing and Sanding are not only used to create a flat, defect-free surface as the preparation procedure before painting or electroplating, but also to create the final finish. In the process of prototype making, this is a manual work which is very dependent on experience and proficiency, our skilled workers can provide brushed and satin surfaces for a variety of metallic effects, and optically clear coat on clear PMMA parts in our clean, environmentally controlled workshop.

COLOR MATCHING

The vivid color will give a strong impression, so a designer will express his design concept through the color and luster of the product . How do we ensure that the color of product or prototype is exactly the color you want? We can match any color by standard Pantone or RAL color code by our color mixing system for painting, and cooperate with the professional plastic color matching company for injection mold products. If you prefer, send us a physical color sample to us, we’ll use professional X-Rite color tester to match it precisely.

ANODIZING

Anodizing with Bright Colors

Clear Anodizing Type II

The designer usually use anodizing on their aluminum products for the following purposes:

 1. Resist product corrosion: due to the proper sealing treatment of the film obtained by anodization, it has good stability in the atmosphere.
 2. Protection and decoration: increase surface hardness, improve resistance to wear. A variety of organic dyes or inorganic pigments can be adsorbed on the highly transparent oxide film to obtain bright colors and patterns, making the appearance of the aluminum products look great.

Yea-Lin normally adopt Type II anodizing, its decorative effect is more prominent Type III is also available if you need more hard surfaces.

PAD PRINTING AND SILK SCREENING

Yea-Lin can provide printing service include Pad Printing and Silk Screening, either of them is a simple process for imprinting an image onto virtually any material. Such as Logos, text, rating labels. The color for printing is optionally chose according to Pantone color code. Pad printing is almost independent of the shape, fast, reliable, with ability to print fine subjects. Silk Screening is available for larger surfaces with multiple colors and more complex graphics.
